CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference office announced the seedings and bracket for the 2024 MAC Volleyball Championship following the final matches of the regular season on Saturday night. Western Michigan has earned the No. 4 seed, and is matched up against No. 5 seed Buffalo in the quarterfinal round.
WMU and Buffalo met twice in Kalamazoo during the opening weekend of conference play, with the teams splitting the two contests. The Broncos are 3-0 all-time against the Bulls in MAC Tournament play.
As the regular season champion, Bowling Green earned the top seed and is set to host the tournament, which begins on Friday, Nov. 22, with a pair of quarterfinal matchups. The Broncos and Bulls battle on one side of the bracket, with No. 3 seed Ball State facing No. 6 Toledo in the other quarterfinal.
On Saturday, Nov. 23, top-seeded Bowling Green awaits the winner of WMU-UB in the first semifinal, while the No. 2 seed, Central Michigan, picked up the second bye and will take on the winner between the Cardinals and the Rockets. The two semifinal winners meet in Sunday's championship match for the league title and the automatic berth to the 2024 NCAA Volleyball Championship.
