CLEVELAND – Western Michigan graduate student Amanda Gruber has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnastics Specialist of the Week for her performance win WMU's win over Bowling Green on Sunday.
 
Gruber turned in a career-best performance on floor in WMU's win over Bowling Green. She recorded a score of 9.950, getting a 10.0 and a 9.0 from the judges, to finish in the top spot. She also took fourth place on beam with a 9.825, her second score of at least 9.8 so far this season.
 
The Broncos continue MAC competition on Friday at Eastern Michigan. The meet starts at 6 p.m. and can be watched live on ESPN+.
