Maggie King notched double-digit kills for the second consecutive night, putting down 12 while hitting .296. Logan Case handed out 37 assists to help Western Michigan hit .292 as a team for the contest.

Andelyn Simkins posted double-digit digs for the 11th straight match, totaling 13, and had seven assists, one shy of her career high. Reeghan Boyer was also in double-figures with 10 digs.

Holding a 9-8 edge in the first set, Western Michigan ripped off six consecutive points to gain some breathing room at 15-8. The WMU lead got as high as eight, 18-10, before Bowling Green came charging back and got all the way back to within one, 22-21. With the score 23-22, King notched back-to-back kills to deliver the first set victory for the Broncos.

The Falcons got out on the front foot in the second, as they opened up an 11-6 advantage. Trailing 16-12, Western Michigan used a 4-1 spurt to close the gap to one, 17-16. After BGSU picked up the next two to get the margin to 19-16, the Broncos caught fire, and used a 9-2 surge to close out the set, 25-21. Brusek had a hand in each of the final four points of the frame, as she notched one kill, a pair of block assists, and then clinched the set with a solo block.

The third frame was tightly contested throughout, as it featured 11 ties. Trailing 16-15, Western Michigan tallied four straight points to move ahead, 19-16. With the margin at 22-19, BGSU used a 4-1 spurt to get back even at 23-23 and force the Broncos to take a timeout. Out of the timeout, King put down a kill to bring WMU to match point, and the Falcons sent their next swing long to complete the weekend sweep for the Brown & Gold.

The Broncos hit the road next week for a pair of matches against East Division foes. WMU's trip begins on Thursday night, as it visits Kent State. First serve is slated for 6 pm on ESPN+.
