KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Wednesday morning TopDrawerSoccer announced the 2023 preseason All-American teams. This year, Charlie Sharp was named to the preseason All-American Third Team.
Last year, Sharp helped lead the brown and gold to the last-ever MAC championship title after scoring a career-best 11 goals in 21 matches. In the process, Western Michigan completed their first 16 win season since 2017, and claimed a Sweet 16 berth. Sharp's next goal will put him in a three-player tie with Tom Oatly (2004-07) and Mosen Khani (1979-82) for the third most goals in program history at 24 career goals.
