Sharp Named to United Soccer Coaches Forwards to Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 15, 2023) – The United Soccer Coaches announced the forwards on its NCAA Division I Men's Players to Watch Lists for the 2023 intercollegiate season. Chosen by the Division I All-America Committees, forward Charlie Sharp was selected as one of the 32 male athletes on the 2023 men's watch list. The list includes United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and first or second-team All-Region players from 2022 who are scheduled to return for the 2023 season.

Sharp's selection to the watch list is an addition to his highly decorated resume. Sharp was drafted by Toronto FC as the 61st pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, and was named to College Sports Communicators All-America Second and All-District teams. Sharp was also named a member of the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America First Team and All-MAC. Last season, the forward from Brighton, Michigan, had a career year, posting individual bests with 21 starts, 11 goals (four game winners), and eight assists.

After a final exhibition match against Northwestern University Friday at 6:00 p.m., Sharp and the rest of the Broncos will open the 2023 campaign on the road Thursday, Aug. 24, at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Vermont.
