Jefferson Monegro and Brandon Muntu have earned invitations to try out for Team Canada's U23 squad for the upcoming GLOBL JAM Tournament.
The GLOBL Jam Tournament is a tournament featuring Under-23 national teams from across the globe. It is slated to be held in Toronto next month.
Team Canada opens its pre-tournament camp with a two-day tryout, beginning on June 29. After the tryout, the team will have a nine-day training camp leading up to the beginning of the tournament. Team Canada's first game is against Team Africa on July 12.
Monegro was one of two Broncos to start all 31 games during the 2022-23 season. The La Salle, Quebec, Canada, native averaged 4.2 points, 2.1 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 19.9 minutes per contest during his freshman campaign.
A native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Muntu is set to join the Broncos for the 2023-24 campaign after being named an NJCAA Third Team All-American last season at Triton College.
