WMU Softball Inks Jensen Gremillion to 2023 Signing Class

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan University softball team and head coach Jenny Rohn announced the right-handed pitcher Jensen Gremillion to the program's class of 2023.

Gremillion was named a two-time Parish MVP, in both her senior and junior campaigns at Bunkie High School. In her junior season, she was named First Team All-District Pitcher, First Team All-Cenla Utility, First Team All-State Utility, First Team All-Cenla Coaches Association, and First Team All-Cenla Sports Writers Association. Gremillion topped off her high school career with her second First Team All-Parish Pitcher honors.

A Plaucheville, Louisiana native, she spent two seasons with the Lady Bears Softball program as the ace pitcher before returning home to the Pelican State to attend the much further south, Nicholls State University.

Named 2021 MACCC First Team All-Conference pitcher, Gremillion shined at Southwest Mississippi Community College with 125 strikeouts over 119.2 innings pitched. She went 12 -6 last season in five complete games. One of which was her 17-strikeout performance against Kaskaskia to set a new program record. In her junior season at Nicholls State, Gremillion held a 2.86 ERA in 14.2 innings pitched and tossed 14 strikeouts.
