A 2015 graduate of Western Michigan, Jenny Rohn was named the head coach of her alma mater's softball program on June 24, 2022. She is the fifth head coach in program history.
Prior to returning to Kalamazoo, Rohn served as an assistant coach at Harvard. While with the Crimson, she served as hitting coach, defense coach, third base coach and recruiting coordinator. In 2022, Harvard finished in second place in the Ivy League (22-20 overall, 15-6 Ivy) after having missed nearly two full seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 Harvard team boasted a pair of First Team, three Second Team and three Honorable Mention All-Ivy League performers.
In between stints at Harvard, Rohn spent the 2021 campaign as the head coach of Covenant College. In her one season, Rohn guided the Scots fo a fourth-place finish in USA South, tied for the best finish in program history. During the season, Covenant picked up the program's first-ever victory against Emory University and also defeated two-time defending conference champion Maryville for the first time since 2015. The Scots were rewarded with a program-record six All-Conference selections, with one First Team (Jordan Holman) and five Second Team honorees. Holman broke the single-season school records for both batting average (.479) and triples (6) and was named to the NFCA All-Atlantic Region First Team.
During Rohn's first stint as a full-time assistant at Harvard, the Crimson won a pair of Ivy League Championships and made back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament (2018 and 2019). Those two Crimson teams earned a total of 15 All-Conference selections (5 First Team, 5 Second Team and 5 Honorable Mention), Katie Duncan was named the Ivy League Pitcher of the Year in both of those seasons, and was also a 2019 Academic All-America Third Team selection. The 2018 team also boasted a pair of Academic All-District honorees. While she was at Harvard, the team went 45-18 (.714) in Ivy League play.
She spent the 2017 season as a graduate assistant at Louisiana Monroe, primarily working with the infield and slap hitters. The 2017 Warhawks were the second team in program history to have 30+ plus wins and were the regional runner-up in the National Invitational Softball Championship. ULM's Sydney McKay was named the Hero Sports Softball Best Player in the Sun Belt.
Rohn also has high school coaching experience in her background, as she was named District Coach of the Year after leading Birmingham Groves High School to a 2016 MHSAA district championship. Six Falcons were selected to the All-District Team.
Rohn's first collegiate coaching experience came as a volunteer assistant at Harvard in 2016. The Crimson went unbeaten at home (12-0) that season and had seven players earn All-Ivy League honors, including the Pitcher of the Year (Morgan Groom), Best Offensive Player of the Year (Maddy Kaplan) and Rookie of the Year (Rhianna Rich).
No stranger to wearing the Brown & Gold, Rohn played center field for the Broncos for four years. A two-time team captain, she was a Second Team All-MAC selection her senior year. Rohn was also a three-time Academic All-MAC honoree and was named an NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete three times.
