KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the hiring of Susan Scheve as the new WMU Head Dance Team Coach.

Scheve is an alum of the WMU Dance Team, having participated from 2010-14, where she earned Rookie of the Year in 2011. Scheve graduated from WMU with a Bachelors in Science in Early Education, and taught at Arbor Academy before transitioning over to dance instruction full time in 2016.

"We are excited to welcome Susan back to the Broncos as our new Head Dance Coach," said WMU Director of Athletics Dan Bartholomae. "She brings significant experience as an instructor in our community and - as an alumna of our dance team - is passionate about the student experience at WMU."

Scheve now serves as the Studio Relations Director and Dance Instructor at Excel Dance Centre.

"I am so excited to be back involved with the Western Michigan Dance Team," said Scheve. "Not only do I have a passion for teaching and working with dancers but I also have a passion for sharing the Bronco spirit. It is a true honor to be back with the team and I am excited for what is to come! Go Broncos!"
