CLEVELAND – For the fourth time this season, Western Michigan senior Payton Murphy has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week.  

Murphy broke her own program record in the all-around for the third time this season, this time with a score of 39.550. She also contributed to WMU breaking its program scoring record with a 197.100, the first time in school history the team has earned a score of a 197 or higher. On top of that, she helped WMU produce new team meet records on vault and beam. She finished second on vault, second on bars, second on beam and tied for first on floor. 

Murphy and the Broncos wrap up the regular season this Sunday at Ball State at 1 p.m. The meet can be watched live on ESPN3.
