RALEIGH, N.C. -- Makayla Perez and
Katelyn Spooner competed in the Raleigh Relays over the last two days, with each seeing personal bests in their respective events.
Perez raced in the 10,000-meter run yesterday evening, earning a time of 33:35.56. That was good for 13th place in a field of 31 runners. Her finish was the second-highest among Mid-American Conference opponents. Spooner was strong in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, as she finished 28th with a time of 11:12.93.
The Broncos will be back in action next weekend, as they split up and head to a variety of different meets. Some will take part in the Texas Relays, others will go to the Bobcat Invitational and the rest of the team will be at the Spartan Invitational.
