Gymnastics Heads to Ball State with MAC Title on the Line

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics team heads to Ball State for a 1 p.m. meet on Sunday with a chance to share the Mid-American Conference Regular Season Championship.

The Broncos will earn a share of the title with the Cardinals with a win. The meet can be watched live on ESPN3.com.

After its record-setting performance in last Saturday's win over Northern Illinois, Western Michigan has moved up to 28th in the nation with a team National Qualifying Score of 196.305. The Broncos broke the 197-point mark for the first time in program history after a 197.100 against the Huskies.

A victory would give WMU its second regular season championship, after winning the first back during the COVID-19 restricted season in 2020.

Western Michigan heads to Kent State next Saturday for the 2022 MAC Championship meet, scheduled for 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
