MADISON, Wis. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team fell to Yale, 5-2, at Wisconsin's Nielsen Tennis Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Broncos dropped the doubles point after wins by the Bulldogs at No. 2 and No. 1.
Yale then won at No. 6, No. 1 and No. 4 singles to secure the victory, pulling ahead 4-0. A win at No. 5 pushed their lead to 5-0 before Peter Kuszynski earned a 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (9-7) win at No. 3 over Luke Neal. Junior Benjamin George wrapped up the match with a 4-6, 7-6 (7-0), 1-0 (12-10) win at No. 2 over Vignesh Gogineni.
The Broncos are off next week before returning to West Hills Athletic Club to host Drake University on Friday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.
