Track and Field Finds Success at GVSU's Snowdown Showdown

ALLENDALE, Mich. / SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Western Michigan track and field team continued its indoor season by competing at the Grand Valley State Snowdown Showdown and Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational. The Snowdown Showdown event was one day, while the Meyo Invitational will continue tomorrow.

Maggie Raab had a great day on the track at the Snowdown Showdown, as she had a pair of top-two finishes. Raab took first place in the one-mile run with a time of 5:14.08 and placed second in the 800-meter run by crossing the finish line in a time of 2:21.13. In the one-mile run, the Broncos took the top four spots, as Delaney Knoll (5:21.32) placed second, Madison Zarembski (5:24.22) earned third and Ann Marie Jordan (5:25.52) collected fourth.

LaJeanee' Porter wasn't far behind Raab in the 800-meter run, as she crossed the finish line in fourth with a time of 2:24.69.
