Women's Tennis Heads to Indiana for Double-Header With Hoosiers and IUPUI

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team heads to Indiana for a double-header with the Hoosiers and IUPUI on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. 

The Broncos (5-2) open with a match against IU in Bloomington and then make the quick trip to Indianapolis to take on the Jaguars at 6 p.m. at the West Indy Raquet Club. Western Michigan is on a four-match winning streak, picking up victories over Oakland, Illinois-Chicago, Omaha and Cleveland State. WMU is 1-2 away from home so far this season.  

The Hoosiers are 6-3 this season and 4-1 at the IU Tennis Center. Indiana returns from a trip out West where it split with Utah and Colorado, earning a 4-2 win over the Buffalos and falling 5-2 to the Utes. IUPUI started off the spring with a five-match losing streak but have since picked up wins against Marian and Holy Cross (Ind.) before losing to Western Kentucky last Sunday.  

The Broncos head down to Florida for their annual spring break trip, taking on Tennessee State in Daytona on Sunday, March 5 at 3 p.m., followed by Bethune Cookman on March 6 at 11 a.m. and Northwood on Tuesday with the time and location still to be determined. Western Michigan returns home to host Purdue University Northwest on Wedneday, March 15 at 1 p.m.
