KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan gymnastics team welcomes Central Michigan for WMU's Alumni Meet on Sunday at 1 p.m. at University Arena.
Tickets are available at www.wmubroncos.com/tickets and at the door. The Broncos will celebrate their alums in attendance after the end of the meet and prior to the finalization of the scores. Both teams head into Sunday's meet with a lot of momentum. Western Michigan had its season-best performance against Eastern Michigan last weekend. The victory featured a near perfect 10 by Payton Murphy on floor, who later went on to win MAC Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season. Murphy also broke her own record in the all-around. The Broncos also broke the team floor record at 49.525.
The Chippewas had their second-highest team score of the season, 195.600, in an upset win at Iowa State last Sunday.
Western Michigan heads back on the road, traveling to Washington D.C. to take on George Washington on Friday at 7 p.m.
