MONROE, La. – The Western Michigan softball team fell 1-0 to Lindenwood on the final day of the Best of the Bayou Tournament. The Broncos completed the tournament with a 3-2 record.

Western Michigan had five hits in Sunday's contest, a pair from junior
Addison Hudson and one hit each for
Alyssa Kramer,
Courtney Farrish and
Taylor Wolfe.
Lindenwood tallied the lone run of the contest in the top of the third. With two outs and runners on first and second, the Lions got a runner home on a fielding error. WMU got a pair of two-out hits in the bottom of the frame, but was turned away.
Western Michigan's best scoring chance came in the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Wolfe singled to left center field and Hudson delivered a bunt single. Lindenwood then shut down the next two batters to keep the Broncos off the board.
Senior pitcher
Autumn Godwin took the loss with four innings in the circle, surrendering one run on three hits. Junior
Rissa Bajusz came in for the next three frames and allowed two hits.
Looking ahead, the Broncos are back in action on Feb. 24 - Feb. 26 at the Frost Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn. They will take on UNLV, Eastern Illinois, Southeast Missouri State, Memphis, and Chattanooga.
