DEKALB, Ill. – The Western Michigan football team fell on its final road game of the season, 24-0, at Northern Illinois on Tuesday.
The Broncos were held to just 209 yards of offense on the night by the Huskies' defense.
NIU took a 7-0 lead on a 1-yard touchdown run by Antario Brown with 16 seconds left in the first quarter. Brown would score again, this time on a 66-yard run at 7:13 in the second quarter to push the lead to 14-0.
WMU got the ball to open the third quarter, but the opening drive stalled in NIU territory. The Huskies went up 21-0 later in the third quarter when Dane Pardridge returned a punt 55 yards for the score. Kanon Woodill later added a 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to set the final.
