MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team wrapped up non-conference play with a 2-0 loss at Marquette on Thursday night.
MU's Maggie Starker put the Broncos (0-4-3) down 1-0 just 3:20 into the game with assists to Elsi Twombly and Alex Campana. Katie Gibson added to the lead with 1:16 left in the first half.
Western Michigan fired off 10 total shots on the night, but was only able to land one by
Heidi Thomasma on target.
Mira Pierre-Webster led all Broncos with three total shots.
The Broncos head to Northern Illinois next Thursday to open Mid-American Conference play at 8 p.m.
