KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Summer ball for several Western Michigan baseball players is in full swing as each of the major collegiate baseball leagues are now in action. Below is an update on the Broncos who are currently playing across the various summer leagues.

Williamsport Crosscutters (MLB Draft League)

• Easton Sikorski – RHP
  • Through six outings, five starts, owns a 2.00 ERA, which is tied for seventh-lowest in the league
  • Tied for 12th in the league with 18 strikeouts
  • Holding opponents to a .231 batting average

Kalamazoo Growlers (Northwoods League)

• Connor Charping – C
  • Hitting .423 with a .583 OBP, eight runs scored and six RBIs in seven games since joining the team in late June
  • Has had three multi-hit games, including a four-hit effort on July 3 against the Wausau Woodchucks
  • Is a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases

Alexandria Aces (Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League)

• Cade Sullivan – 1B
  • Hitting .281 in 15 games with nine runs scored, six doubles and a pair of home runs
  • Tied for seventh in the league with 15 RBIs
  • Currently riding a nine-game hitting streak and has driven in at least one run in seven straight games
• Brendan Harrity – INF
  • Batting .310 with six RBIs and eight runs scored in 14 games
  • Has recorded three multi-hit games
• Joe Shapiro – LHP
  • Has made four relief appearances covering 5.1 innings
  • Pitched three scoreless innings to earn a save in his most recent outing on June 28

Springfield Lucky Horseshoes (Prospect League)

• Dylan Nevar – OF
  • Batting .257 in 28 games with 13 runs scored, five doubles, three home runs and 12 RBIs
  • Has totaled eight multi-hit games

Muskegon Clippers (Great Lakes League)

• Ethan Houghtaling – RHP
  • Owns a 4.41 ERA and 2-0 record with one save in four appearances, three starts, in 18.1 innings
  • Ranks third on the team with 22 strikeouts
  • Has gone at least 5.0 innings and compiled at least six strikeouts in all three starts

Michigan Monarchs (Great Lakes League)

• Jack Fitzharris – INF
  • Has scored six runs and drawn six walks in 13 games
  • Doubled in his first run of the season on June 30, then drove in two more in the next game

Southland Vikings (The Northern League)

• Nolan Vlcek – RHP
  • Boasts a 3-0 record in five starts and ranks fourth in the league with a 1.90 ERA in 23.2 innings
  • Has racked up 25 strikeouts, third-most in the league
  • Holding opponents to a .186 batting average, third-lowest in the league
