ATLANTA – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2021-22 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll on Wednesday, with the Western Michigan women's basketball team ranking 19th. This marks the first time in program history that the Broncos have received this honor.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
Head coach
Shane Clipfell's team came in at number 19 in the rankings with a 3.605 GPA during the 2021-22 academic year. The Broncos boasted a program-record 10 Academic All-MAC honorees, with

Hannah Douglas,
Reilly Jacobson,
Lauren Ross,
Gabi Saxman,
Hannah Spitzley,
Abby Voss,
Maddie Watters,
Megan Wagner and
Taylor Williams all earning selections.
WMU was one of three teams in the Mid-American Conference to be featured on the Honor Roll, with Northern Illinois coming in at ninth with a 3.681 GPA and Bowling Green 24th at 3.554.
