WMU Announces Summer Coaches Stampede

KALAMAZOO, Mich. –  In an effort to engage with Bronco Nation and create high quality connections with our fans, Western Michigan University Athletics is excited to introduce a new fan experience with the Broncos Coaches Stampede.  This is a unique opportunity for fans to hear from our coaches and staff about the upcoming year. The Bronco Coaches Stampede is set to make stops in Chicago, Grand Rapids, Detroit and Kalamazoo this summer.

The first stop is the Windy City on Friday, June 17 at Tied House (3157 N. Southport Avenue) from 6-8 p.m. The event will feature head football coach Tim Lester, head hockey coach Pat Ferschweiler, head volleyball coach Colleen Munson, head women's basketball coach Shane Clipfell, new men's basketball head coach Dwayne Stephens and Director of Athletics Dan Bartholomae.

"As we look to make high quality connections with our alumni and fans throughout the country, we are excited to bring this first of its kind of event to the Bronco fan base," said Bartholomae. "We can't wait for you to meet our coaches – live and in-person – so that we can celebrate the start of what is sure to be an exciting year in Bronco Athletics.  We hope to see you at the Stampede and can't wait to connect!"

The Grand Rapids event will take place on July 21 with the location still to be determined. On Thursday, Aug. 4 the Stampede will be in Detroit at Tin Roof (47 East Adams Avenue) from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The final stop will be in Kalamazoo at Old Burdick's Downtown in the Radisson Hotel on Monday, Aug. 8 from 6-8 p.m.
