Women's Tennis Rolls Past Kalamazoo College on Senior Day

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team wrapped hosted Kalamazoo College for its final home match of the season and for Senior Day on Saturday afternoon, turning in a 7-0 victory over the Hornets.
 
Prior to the match the Broncos honored its senior class of Kaitlyn Rogosch, Taylor Smith, Kristina Tiraspolsky, Femke Tjon-A-Joe and Elizabeth Trupp.
 
WMU suited up five doubles teams and swept them all to earn the point. Rogosch and Ana Guadiana earned a 6-1 win at No. 1, Lindsey Zieglar and Karin Hamilton turned in a 6-1 win at No. 2, while Tjon-A-Joe and Smith also won 6-1 at No. 3. Trupp and Tiraspolsky and Kiana Rizzolo and Maya Perkucin also picked up 6-0 wins.
 
Western Michigan also won all nine of the singles matches. Guadiana, Rogosch, Perkucin and Tiraspolsky all won 6-0, 6-0 over their counterparts from Kalamazoo College. Zieglar earned a 6-0, 6-1, Hamilton picked up her victory 6-1, 6-3 as did Smith. Rizzolo picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win, while Trupp earned her win at 6-1, 6-0.
 
Western Michigan wraps up the regular season next weekend on the road at Eastern Michigan on Friday and Northern Illinois on Sunday.
