SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Western Michigan track and field team heads down south to San Marcos, Texas for the 2022 Bobcat Invitational on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Broncos, competing outside for the first time this season, will open things up in the discus on Thursday afternoon with
Taylor Eaton and
Madison Ochs competing. On the track it will be
Rebecca McNamee and
Annalise James running in the 1,5000-meter run. In the 5,000-meter run it will be
Brooke Soper and Katelyn Spooner to finish off the day.
Friday features action in the hammer throw, 400-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash and steeplechase. Saturday will have the Broncos competing in the shot put, 800-meter run, 100-meter dash, 400-meter dash, the 4x100-meter relay, and the 4x400.
Western Michigan heads down to Cincinnati for the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational next Friday and Saturday. The Broncos will have two meets at home this season, the Jack Shaw Invitational on April 29-30 and then host the 2022 Outdoor Mid-American Conference Championships May 12-14.
