ITHACA, N.Y. – The 68th-ranked Western Michigan men's tennis team fell to No. 61 Cornell, 5-1, on the road on Sunday afternoon.
The Big Red took the doubles point from the Broncos (8-7) after wins at No. 2 and No. 3, with the No. 1 match going unfinished.
Arjun Honnappa was the lone Bronco to earn a win in singles, taking down Adit Sinha 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).
Peter Kuszynski had No. 33 Alafia Ayeni tied up at 1-1 before his match went unfinished in the third set.
Fynn Lohse and
Brogan Pierce also took their opponents to three sets in the loss.
Western Michigan returns to action hosting Northern Illinois on Saturday at 2 p.m.
