KENT, Ohio – Western Michigan freshman sprinter
Azariah McGee-Grantham turned in the WMU Track and Field team's biggest highlight on the final day of the 2022 Indoor Mid-American Conference Championships at Kent State University on Saturday.
McGee-Grantham took second overall in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.54 seconds to earn eight points for the Broncos. With her second place finish she earns Second team All-MAC honors in her first career MAC Championship.
Also scoring on the day was sophomore
Grace Johnson. Johnson took fifth overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.60 seconds to add four points to WMU's total. Johnson was also a first-time MAC Championships scorer for the Broncos.
Western Michigan finished with 16 total points, finishing 11th. Akron won the MAC Championship with 117.50 points.
