LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior
Reily Galloway and sophomore
Rissa Bajusz tossed complete games on Saturday, but the Western Michigan softball team fell to Bellarmine, 2-1, and Green Bay, 3-0.
The Broncos (1-6) traded runs in the first inning of the opening game with host Bellarmine, but neither team was able to tack on a run until the Knights scored the game-winning tally in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Galloway allowed just three hits, one earned run, and struck out three. She was also 1-for-2 at the plate with an RBI.
Maggie Kehoe was 1-for-3 with a run.
In game two, Bajusz struck out four and allowed three runs. Third baseman
Alyssa Kramer went 1-for-2, and
Jordyn Swinehart batted 1-for-3.
The Broncos are back at it on Sunday with an 11 a.m. game against Green Bay before taking on Bellarmine at 3 p.m.
