Colleen Munson notched the 400th win of her head coaching career on Saturday, as the Broncos completed a weekend sweep of Eastern Michigan with a 3-0 victory (25-21, 25-15, 25-15) on Saturday afternoon at University Arena.

Maggie King (15 kills, 10 digs) and
Logan Case (27 assists, 11 digs) each recorded a double-double for the Broncos, with King grabbing her team-leading 12th and Case picking up her 11th of the season. King's 15 kills came on a .367 hitting percentage, and extended her double-digit kills' streak to 10 matches in a row. Defensively,
Andelyn Simkins posted a team-high 13 digs for the afternoon.
Western Michigan enjoyed a 7-3 edge in service aces in the contest. Simkins led the way with three, one shy of her career high.
The Broncos built a 13-8 cushion in the first set, but Eastern Michigan then notched seven of the next eight points to move ahead, 15-14. With EMU in front 18-16, Western Michigan ripped off six consecutive points to regain the lead, 22-18, and held on from there to take the first frame.
In the second set, an early four-point spurt helped WMU establish a 6-2 advantage. An 8-2 stretch helped the Broncos push the margin out to six, 13-7. At 17-11, Western Michigan embarked on a 7-1 run to put the set away.
Eight of the first 11 points of the third frame went the way of the Broncos. With the margin at four, 10-6, Western Michigan used an 8-2 surge to push its advantage to 18-8. A 4-1 Eastern Michigan run was answered by four in a row by WMU, getting the hosts within two points of victory. A
Julia Marr kill got Western Michigan within a point, and King then hammered down the final kill to complete WMU's weekend sweep over the Eagles.
Western Michigan heads to Mount Pleasant next weekend for its final road trip of the regular season, a two-match series against Central Michigan. First serve on Friday between the Broncos and Chippewas is set for 6 pm.
