CLEVELAND – For the second time this season, Western Michigan men's soccer senior forward,
Charlie Sharp has been named Mid-American Conference player of the week.
Sharp helped Western Michigan control possession in its 1-0 win at Bowling Green last Tuesday, extending WMU's winning streak to seven games, tying the program record. Sharp then scored a career-high four goals, tying the record for most in a game by a Bronco, including a natural hat trick in WMU's 7-1 win over Chicago State. The win set a new program record for consecutive wins with 8.
Sharp currently leads Western Michigan with 17 points: six goals- one of which was a game-winning goal, five assists, and 15-31 for shots on goal.
The Broncos continue play at Titan Field against Detroit Mercy on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.
