CLEVELAND – Western Michigan men's soccer senior forward
Charlie Sharp has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week for the third time in its 2022 season.
Sharp tallied two goals in Western Michigan's 4-0 win at Detroit Mercy last Wednesday, extending its program record winning streak to nine games. Sharp then helped WMU control possession in its 0-0 tie at Northern Illinois on Sunday, extending Western Michigan's unbeaten record to ten. WMU outshot NIU 17-3. Sharp recorded a total of five shots with one shot on goal, making his total shots for the week eight with three shots on goal.
Western Michigan continues conference play against the University of Akron on Thursday at WMU Soccer Complex, with a 4 p.m. kickoff. The game can be streamed live through Bronco All-Access. Admission is free.
