KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Junior Payton Murphy has been named Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week, announced by the league office Tuesday morning.
 
Murphy turned in a historic performance on Sunday against Bowling Green. She set the program record with a 39.375 all-around score, won bars after recording a 9.825, and won floor with a score of 9.925 (tied for third in program history). She also finished second on vault with a 9.800.
 
The Broncos improved to 2-0 after registering a program-record team score of 196.225.
