ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up competition at the Michigan Invitational on Saturday.
The top finish on the day for WMU came from sophomore Grace Johnson, who ran a time of 8.65 in the 60-meter hurdles to take fifth overall. The time was a new personal best, surpassing her previous top time of 8.91.
The Broncos placed two student-athletes in the top 10 of the weight throw, with seniors Taylor Eaton and Madison Ochs taking eighth and ninth. Eaton reached a distance of 58' 0.25" (17.69m) and Ochs threw 55' 4.25" (16.87m).
Sophomore Trinity Bracey was WMU's top finisher in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.62 seconds, placing 15th overall. Bracey also combined with Claira Gilchrist, Margaret Raab and Ahvon Mitchell to take seventh in the 4x400-meter run with a time of 4:04.34.
Western Michigan is back in action on Friday at the GVSU Snowdown Showdown.
