Women's Tennis Earns ITA Academic Recognition

TEMPE, Ariz.  -  Nine members of the Western Michigan women's tennis team were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athletes, while WMU was named an ITA All-Academic Team.
 
Ana Guadiana, Karin Hamilton, Maya Perkucin, Valerie Riegraf, Kaitlyn Rogosch, Kristina Tiraspolsky, Femke Tjon-A-Joe, Elizabeth Trupp and Paula Wohlers all earned the honors. To earn ITA Scholar Athlete honors student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.
 
The team combined for a GPA of 3.58 for the 2020-21 season, earning ITA All-Academic Team honors for the 26th straight year.  To earn the ITA All-Academic Team honors the team must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic year.
