OXFORD, Ohio -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team fell short on the road at Miami on Friday, losing to the RedHawks 4-3.

MU earned the doubles point after wins at No. 1 and No. 3., with Brindtha Ramasamy and Laura Rico defeating
Femke Tjon-A-Joe and
Karin Hamilton at No. 1, 6-0. Milana Lysova and Lena Babunski beat
Ana Guadiana and
Paula Wohlers, 6-1, at No. 3.

The RedHawks pushed their lead to 2-0 after Rico won at No. 2 over Lindsey Ziegler, 6-2, 6-2. The Broncos cut into the lead after Wohlers defeated Babunski at No. 6 6-1, 6-3. MU moved ahead 3-1 after a win at No. 5 before Rogosch won at No. 5, 7-5, 6-4 over Makenzie Myers. Miami then clinched the win after Ramasamy beat Tjon-A-Joe at No. 1, 6-2, 7-5. Guadiana also earned a win for the Broncos at No. 3 over Lysova.
