Wade Allison to Make his NHL Debut on Thursday Night

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Western Michigan hockey alum Wade Allison will make his National Hockey League debut on Thursday night, suiting up for the Philadelphia Flyers as they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7 p.m.
 
Allison becomes the 28th player in program history to play in the NHL and the seventh under head coach Andy Murray.
 
The Myrtle, Manitoba, native played four seasons with the Broncos, playing in 106 career games and posting 97 points on 45 goals and 52 assists. He was a four-time NCHC Academic All-Conference selection in his career. Allison was a second round pick of the Flyers in the 2016 NHL Draft, getting selected 52nd overall.
 
Allison signed with the Flyers after the conclusion of the 2019-20 season. He started this season in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, tallying nine points on four goals and five assists in just eight games before being called up to Philadelphia's taxi squad.
