KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's soccer team heads on the road to open Mid-American Conference Play on Sunday at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville at 2 p.m.

SCOUTING THE BRONCOS
The Broncos are 1-0 on the season after beating Butler, 2-0, back on Feb. 26. WMU had a game against DePaul but it was postponed due to COVID-19 issues.

Isaac Walker made four saves to earn his first clean sheet of the season.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
SIUE is 3-0 heading into Sunday's showdown. The Cougars opened the season with a 2-1 win in overtime over Butler and then had shutout wins against Evansville and Western Illinois. SUIE has also had two non-conference game canceled or postponed due to COVID-19.
Oskar Lenz leads or is tied of the team lead in goals, assists and points. Lenz has a team-high two goals and is tied with Mitchell Murphy with the lead in assists with two. Four other Cougars have scored on the season. Tor Erik Larsen and Lluis Martorell have shared time between the sticks. Martorell is 1-0 with 10 saves and one shutout, while Larsen is 2-0-0 with one shutout and four total saves.
The Broncos are 1-0-2 all-time against SIUE.

Western Michigan travels across the state to take on Spring Arbor on Wednesday at 4 p.m. before returning to the WMU Soccer Complex to host West Virginia at 1 p.m. Sunday's game against the Mountaineers will also be streamed live for free at
