KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team improved to 5-1 in Mid-American Conference play after a 6-1 win over Northern Illinois at West Hills Athletic Club on Sunday.

"We made some adjustments in doubles this weekend and I think those really helped us get two tough wins this weekend," said head coach
Ryan Tomlinson. "I'm proud of this group and how they keep showing up day in and day out, both mentally and physically. They have done a tremendous job thus far. Today we played our most complete match from start to finish. We need to keep working on some things but this weekend off will be beneficial for us."
WMU earned the doubles point after duo
Ana Guadiana and Kaitlyn Rosh defeated Fernanda Naves and Laraslisko 6-1 at No. 2 and the team of
