Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan enters its first home weekend with an overall record of 1-9 and 1-3 in Mid-American Conference play. Saturday's first pitch will end a 678-day drought between games being played at Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field.
Attendance Policy
Due to state and local guidelines attendance is limited to the family past list only. Fans can follow the action Saturday on WTOU 95.5 FM & 1660 AM and Sunday and Monday on WKZO 106.9 FM and 590 AM.
Grounding the Eagles
Western Michigan has won eight of the last 10 meetings against Eastern Michigan and each of the past four weekend series. In the regular season the Broncos have won 12 of the last 18 games against the Eagles.
Protecting Our Field
The Broncos have won four consecutive weekend series against EMU and has not lost a home series to EMU since 2012.
Last Weekend at Ball State
In its four-game MAC series opener at Ball State last weekend the Broncos went 1-3, dropping the first three games before winning the series finale 15-12 in 14 innings. Against the Cardinals, WMU scored 18 runs on 28 hits over the weekend.
Road to 2,000
Western Michigan needs just one win to clinch 2,000 wins as a program.
Round the Bases!
The Broncos blasted six home runs last weekend at Ball State, including five in the series finale on Sunday. Heading into last weekend WMU had just four home runs total.

Drew Devine has provided the power at the plate for the Brown & Gold, leading the team in home runs (3) and RBIs (8). Devine also has a .486 slugging percentage and a .341 on-base percentage.
Hajdukovic Leading the Way
Senior
Ethan Hajdukovic leads the Broncos with a .296 batting average and a .519 slugging percentage. Hajdukovic now has a team-high eight straight games reaching base safely.
Two is Better than One
Of WMU's 67 hits this season, 32 have gone for extra-bases.
Justin McIntyre and Drew Dvine lead the Broncos with five extra-bases each.
Scouting the Opponent
Eastern Michigan enters the weekend with an overall record of 6-7 and 2-2 in Mid-American Conference play. The Eagles are coming off a split of its four-game series at Akron last weekend, winning the series opener and finale.
Offensively the Eagles are hitting .213 as a squad and rank third in the conference with 13 home runs. The 13 home runs are the most in a 13-game stretch to start a season since the 2002 campaign. At the plate EMU is led by Taylor Hopkins who leads the Eagles in batting average (.298), hits (14), slugging percentage (.532) and home runs (3).
On the mound the Eagles rank 7th in the MAC with a 5.21 ERA and have struck out 89 batters as a staff. RHP Davis Feldman leads the Eagles staff, posting a 3-1 record with a 2.78 ERA in 22.2 innings. Feldman in 22.2 innings pitched has allowed seven earned runs on 21 hits while striking out a team-high 20 batters.
