Women's Tennis Heads on the Road to VALPO

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team heads out on the road for the first time this season, traveling to Valparaiso on Saturday for a 2 p.m. match against the Crusaders.

THE MATCHUP
Western Michigan is 10-0 all-time against VALPO but the two teams have not met since a 7-0 win by the Broncos on Jan. 14, 2017 in Kalamazoo. The Crusaders are 0-1 on the season, falling 6-1 on Sunday at Ball State.
 
The Broncos opened up the season a sweep of Ferris State, beating the Bulldogs 6-1 and 7-0 last Saturday at West Hills Athletic Club.
 
SCHEDULE CHANGE
Western Michigan has added a road trip to its schedule. The Broncos now head to St. Bonaventure for a double-header next Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. It is the first meeting between the two programs.
 
HOME SWEET HOME
The Broncos return to West Hills Athletic Club on Wednesday, Feb. 17 against Wayne State for the first of nine straight matches, including the beginning of Mid-American Conference play on March 12 against Miami Ohio at 1 p.m. The Broncos will also host Kansas City, Chicago State, Eastern Illinois, Oakland, Butler and Bowling Green during the homestead. WMU was 3-2 at home last season before it was ended prematurely.
 
ON THE HORIZON
The Broncos stay on the road to take on the Bonnies in a double-header on Saturday.
