KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan men's soccer junior forward Charlie Sharp has been named United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-North Region on Tuesday.
Sharp was tied for the team lead in points with 13 and goals with five as the Broncos went 7-6-5 on the season. The Second Team All-Mid-American Conference netted his first goal of the season against Loyola Chicago, then adding a goal and assisting on the game-winning goal in 2-0 win over Butler.
The Brighton, Mich., native netted the game-winning goal in WMU's 2-0 win over Michigan State and capped his season off with a goal and an assist in a thrilling 4-3 overtime win over Akron.
This is the first United Soccer Coaches Regional honors of his career and the seventh consecutive year the Broncos have had an All-Region selection.
