KALAMAZOO, Mich – The Western Michigan women's basketball team (4-2) has their sights set on Terre Haute, Ind. and a matchup with Indiana State (3-4) on Saturday, Dec. 4. Tip-off against the Sycamores is confirmed for 6 p.m. ET.

SCOUTING THE SYCAMORES
Indiana State gets ready to host WMU this weekend after a thriller on the road against Chicago State. Freshman forward Mya Glanton rebounded her own miss and stuck it back in as time expired to edge out the Cougars by a final score of 59-58. Glanton finished with nine points and three rebounds.
The Sycamores were ignited by 24 points from freshman guard Del'Janae Williams, who finished shooting 6-12 from the field and 12-14 from the charity stripe. Williams ranks second on the team in terms of scoring, averaging 13.6 PPG, 4.1 RPG, and 2.1 SPG. Indiana State also received nine points and six boards from junior guard Marie Hunter.
Junior forward Adrian Folks currently leads the Sycamores in scoring with 14.6 PPG, and also averages 5.8 RPG. However, Folks did not register any playing time against Chicago State.
ISU committed 23 turnovers in their last outing, but scored 25 points off of Chicago State's 21 turnovers. The Sycamores also led the game in paint points by a slim margin of 28-24, as well as second chance points by a 12-4 spread.
On the season, Indiana State averages 64.7 PPG on 43 percent shooting as a team, while also averaging 33.4 RPG. The Sycamores and Broncos match up well from a statistical standpoint, posting nearly identical averages in rebounds per game with WMU averaging 33.8 boards per contest. The two teams are separated in terms of rebounding margin by just 0.1 RPG, field goal percentage by a mere 1 percent, three-point percentage by 1.1 percent, and opponent field goal percentage by just 0.1 percent. Saturday's contest has all the makings of a great one.
BRONCOS LOOK TO CONTINUE THEIR STRIDES
Western Michigan will enter Sycamore territory this weekend on a three-game win streak. Most recently, the Broncos earned a win at home against Valparaiso by a final score of 69-54. Leading the way for WMU was sophomore guard
Lauren Ross, who totaled a career-high 27 points. Four of the Bronco starting five finished in double-digit scoring, and sophomore guard
Megan Wagner also set a new career-high in assists, dishing out nine to her teammates against the Beacons.
Western Michigan has also been playing lock down defense as of late, forcing a combined 63 turnovers in their last two games. The Broncos currently lead the MAC in steals, with 13.5 per contest, as well as turnover margin, with opponents tallying +9.83 more turnovers per outing. Additionally, WMU ranks second in the conference in terms of scoring defense, holding opponents to an average of 59.67 PPG, and is also tied for first in scoring margin with Kent State, outscoring the opposition by an average of 16.5 PPG.
The Broncos are also top five in the MAC in offensive scoring (59.67 PPG), free throw percentage (71.1 percent), field goal percentage (44.0 percent), defensive rebounding (34.17 DRPG), assists (14.33 APG), assist to turnover ratio (0.98), and defensive rebound percentage, grabbing 74.7 percent of opposing misses.
Individually, WMU has three players currently sitting in the top 15 in the MAC in terms of field goal percentage.
Lauren Ross currently ranks third in field goal percentage, knocking down 53 percent of her shots, as well as fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 19.7 PPG.

th in the MAC in field goal percentage, capitalizing on 47.1 percent of her looks, while redshirt sophomore forward Taylor Williams comes in at 15
th, getting 42.3 percent of her looks to fall. Sophomore guard
Megan Wagner also ranks fourth in the MAC in assists per contest, serving up an average of 4.33 APG.

Following Saturday's contest in Terre Haute, the Broncos continue their road stint and head east for some in-state competition with the Titans of Detroit Mercy. Tip-off in the Motor City is set for 7 p.m. ET.
