KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Sophomore quarterback
Kaleb Eleby was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, his second recognition this season. Eleby piled up 307 passing yards on 15-of-22 through the air with three touchdowns, and added a 25-yard rushing score as Western Michigan delivered a 64-31 victory over Kent State on Homecoming at Waldo Stadium.
Eleby had a 27-yard strike to
Skyy Moore and a 68-yard score to
Jaylen Hall in the opening quarter. He then added another touchdown connection with Moore for 26-yards early in the third.
Saturday was Eleby's second 300-yard game and second three-touchdown game of the year. He earned his first MAC Player of the Week nod this season after throwing for 337 yards and three touchdowns in a win at Pitt on Sept. 18.
Western Michigan has its last Saturday game of the regular season when the Broncos travel to Toledo on Oct. 23 for a crucial 3:30 p.m. MAC West matchup. The game will be aired live on CBS Sports Network and the Bronco Radio Network.
