SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Western Michigan cross country team wrapped up the Joe Piane Invitational on Friday afternoon at the University of Notre Dame's Burke Golf Course.
The Broncos competed in the Gold 5k finishing 23rd overall. Sophomore
Annalise James was WMU's top finisher and ran a personal-best 5k time of 18:58.0, placing 97th overall.
Senior
Courtney Allen finished with a time of 19:06.0 as the Broncos' no. 2. Sophomore
Ashley Shipps and
Brooke Soper finished third and fourth for the Broncos with times of 19:24.4 and 19:38.4. Junior
Kailyn Mince ran a time of 19:47.3, while freshman
Alayna Ostling finished a few seconds behind her at 19:53.9.
Charlotte Ramser rounded out WMU's top seven with a time of 20:19.7.
Western Michigan has next weekend off before splitting up to head to the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday, Oct. 15 and the Falcon Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 16.
