KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's basketball program and head coach
Shane Clipfell announced the addition of Florida Atlantic transfer Abby Voss on Tuesday. Voss will sit out the 2020-21 season before having two years of eligibility remaining.
"Abby is a terrific addition to our university. We knew her in high school and we love what she brings to the table," said Clipfell. "She is a tremendous worker both on and off the court and that is what we value most. She will also bring both toughness and versatility to the court, there is no question that Bronco fans will love the way she plays."
In two seasons at Florida Atlantic Voss played in 54 games, starting 10 and averaged 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 41 percent from the field. Last season Voss played in 24 games and averaged 3.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
During her freshman campaign Voss was FAU's leading rebounder, averaging 5.9 boards per game. In 30 games for the Owls Voss recorded four games with at least 10 rebounds and registered a career-high 19 points against North Carolina A&T.
Off the court Voss is two-time Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll member. Voss played her prep career at Mount Notre Dame High School in Milford, Ohio where she led her team to a Division I State Championship in 2017.
