Two Broncos to be Inducted into Bay County Sports Hall of Fame

BAY CITY, Mich. – Former Western Michigan volleyball player Traci Morin and former Bronco football player Gene Rademacher will be inducted into the Bay County Sports Hall of Fame this fall.

Morin donned the Brown & Gold from 1996-99 and ranks 17th in program history with 1,161 kills. Morin's.345 career hitting percentage is second highest all-time in both the Mid-American Conference and at WMU. Morin also ranks fifth at WMU in career blocks (406) and seventh in career kills per set (3.39).

In 1999 Morin guided the Broncos to a 25-win season and a berth in the MAC championship match while earning First Team All-MAC and MAC All-Tournament team honors. Following her senior campaign, Morin played for the Pan Am Game training team and was a part of WMU's All-Decade Team (1994-2003).

Rademacher was a three-year letterman for the Broncos (1968-89-70) under head coach Bill Doolittle. WMU went 14-15 during those three seasons with a pair of victories against in-state rival Central Michigan.

Following his collegiate career, Rademacher began coaching at Bay City Handy and Bay City Central. Rademacher was part of the staff that led Central to the state title game in 1994 and was one of five 30-year BCC coaches named Assistant Coach of the Year by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association in 2014.

Morin and Rademacher are a part of the 2020 Bay County Hall of Fame class that features eight individuals and two teams. The induction banquet is set for Nov.8.
