GREENSBORO, N.C. - Western Michigan women's tennis defeated North Carolina A&T 7-0 in a non-conference match on Sunday to earn its sixth win of the season.
The Broncos were victorious in both doubles matches that finished on the court to take an early 1-0 advantage against the Aggies.Â
Western Michigan swept all six singles contests in straight set fashion. Freshman
Lindsey Zieglar and senior
Gabriela Slavova quickly increased the Bronco lead to 3-0, prevailing against Mikaya Hamilton and Ameer Robertson, respectively. Sophomore
Kaitlyn Rogosch clinched the victory for her team with a win over Marlene Estenssoro at No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-3). Sophomore's
Femke Tjon-A-Joe,
Taylor Smith and
Elizabeth Trupp closed out the afternoon with singles victories as well. It was Smith's first singles match of the year and Trupp's second singles win this season.Â
The Broncos will play Campbell on Monday at 2 p.m. in Buies Creek, N.C.
