KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan head coach
Tim Lester guided his 2020 squad through its first spring practice Tuesday morning inside the Donald "J" Seelye Athletic Center with a two-hour session.
The Broncos worked out in helmets without pads and focused primarily on position-specific drills during the first day.

Mike Caliendo and rising senior linebacker
Treshaun Hayward met with the media following the workout. Caliendo was a second team All-Mid-American Conference honoree in 2019 while Hayward was the MAC Defensive Player of the Year.
WMU will cap its spring workouts with an open practice, which will run from 10 a.m. – noon on March 28.
