KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan Athletics will host its first Winter Social on Thursday, January 16 from 6-8 p.m. Hockey head coach Andy Murray, men's basketball coach Steve Hawkins and women's basketball head coach Shane Clipfell will address the crowd.
 
The event will be held in the WMU Alumni Center's Heritage Hall, with free parking offered in Lot 1.
 
Registration for the Winter Social is now open to the public and closes on Monday, January 13. A table for eight may be purchased for $200 and individual tickets are $25. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served during the event.
 
Bronco hockey sits at 7-8-3 overall and 3-4-1 in National Collegiate Hockey Conference competition. The men's basketball program owns an 8-6 overall record and is 1-0 in Mid-American Conference play after downing Ohio 77-65 on Saturday. Clipfell's women's basketball squad is 8-4 and 1-0 in league action following an 84-72 victory versus Toledo on Saturday.
