KALAMAZOO, Mich. – With kickoff just eight days away and six home games on the slate for 2019, Western Michigan football's game day experience this fall will add a happy hour with reduced prices at concession stands, undergo two parking lot entrance changes and implement a new golf cart shuttle path.Â
The Broncos open the campaign August 31 at 7 p.m. against Monmouth at Waldo Stadium and play six home games with the lid-lifter, Georgia State (September 14), Central Michigan (September 28), Miami (October 12), Bowling Green (October 26) and Ball State (November 5).
All season long, early-arriving fans will receive $1 off hot dogs and popcorn purchases at all concession stands from the time the gates open until 30 minutes prior to kickoff.
Fans parking on campus for this year's contests will experience two changes from years past. Cars going to Lot 7 will now enter through the middle entrance off Stadium Drive while Lot 6 cars will enter through the far entrance, near Eddies Lane, off Stadium Drive.
New golf cart shuttle pathways will also be used this fall. The carts will have three designated pick up locations: Lot 4, Lot 6 and at the corner of Oliver Street and Kent Street. The three drop off locations will be near Gate 7, Gate 2 and Gate 1. At the conclusion of the game, carts will be outside Gate 1 and Gate 2 and in Lot 10 to escort fans back to vehicles.
Prohibited items inside Waldo Stadium have been expanded to include e-cigarettes. Tailgating will continue to be allowed four hours prior to kickoff and one hour after the game ends. For more information on Western Michigan's tailgating guidelines, please visitÂ

The facility will maintain its clear bag policy for the 2019 campaign. Bags should be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and are not to exceed 12" X 6" X 12" in size. Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5" X 6.5", or approximately the size of a hand, are permitted, as are one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags.
