KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan will begin the 2019 football season August 31 with its home opener and annual Arbor Financial Youth Day. All activities for the event will run from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Seelye Athletic Center, adjacent to Waldo Stadium.

Fans can enjoy interactive inflatable games with Giant Slide, Vertical Rush, 3-Lane Bungee Basketball, Runt Run, Sports USA 5 in 1 and Jacobs Ladder.  

Participating organizations will include Arbor Financial Credit Union mascot Wholio the Owl, Buster Bronco, the WMU Cheer and Dance teams, Girls on the Run, The Kalamazoo Air Zoo, WWMT-News Channel 3, The Kalamazoo Public Library-Washington Square Branch and Next Level Performance.

Tickets in the end zone for the home opener versus Monmouth and access to Arbor Financial Youth Day, which MUST be purchased before August 31, are $15 and also include a food voucher for a hot dog and chips. Bronco season ticket holders, as well as fans who have already purchased tickets for the Monmouth contest, are welcome to attend the Arbor Financial Youth Day activities inside the Seelye Athletic Center by showing their game ticket.
